Hawkeye Holiday Sectional in January

The Hawkeye Holiday Sectional begins Thursday, January 5 at the Bridge Center. There is a 0-200 game Friday at 1:00 and 7:00 and Saturday at 10:00 AM and 3:00. Points will be averaged in all events. The flyer is available online and at the Bridge Center.

ACBL Tournament Statistics

ACBL 2011 Regional and Sectional tournament average table counts are slightly higher than 2011. Regional tournaments are averaging 1477 ½ tables compared to 1472 in 2011. We host a Regional every two years and had 916 tables in 2011 and 993 ½ in 2009. We have grown from 753 ½ tables in 2001 to over 900 tables the last two tournaments. Our Regional is 3^rd largest in our District. ACBL Sectional table count has increased from 168.9 tables in 2009 to 169.7 in 2011. Our Sectional tournaments are consistently over 200 tables. Thanks to all of our volunteers in making Unit 216 tournaments a success.

ACBL Membership

ACBL membership for 2011 is at 165,333; a slight increase of .1% over 2010. 50,202 of the members have attained the rank of Life Master. 162 of 442 Unit 216 members have attained the Life Master rank.
